This Is Our Worst Blog Post Ever- Pacific Content is one of Entrepreneur’s 100 Brilliant Companies of 2016

This blog post is violating pretty much every rule that our company has set out for ourselves.

Which is pretty ironic.

You see, our entire business is based on creating compelling, top-of-funnel content for imaginative brands. That means telling fantastic stories… that aren’t about the brands themselves.

For example, the podcast we produce with Slack is not about Slack at all — it’s about the future of work. Our TGIM podcast with Shopify is not about Shopify stores — it’s about entrepreneurship. And our Office Hacks podcast with Envoy is not about how Envoy is rethinking the office to make it more productive and fun — it’s about how OTHER companies are rethinking the office.

The strategy is to create audio content so good that there is genuine value for audiences. That leads to appreciation for the brand creating the valuable content, plus audiences get to know the brand over time through the voice, values, and content choices in the podcast. The podcasts establish an exceptionally valuable long-term relationship between audience and brand.

To the best of our knowledge, we are the only company in the world that exclusively focuses on creating this type of top-of-funnel branded podcast.

And because we have a unique focus, amazing clients, a team of world-class storytellers, and successful shows, Entrepreneur magazine very kindly added us to their list of 100 Brilliant Companies.

Including this photo violates several of our rules.

The thing is, we’re so excited and proud to be on this list that we’re breaking all our own rules.

Every single element of this blog post goes contrary to the reason why we were selected for the list in the first place.

This blog post is 100% about Pacific Content. (We just linked to our own site!) We are talking about ourselves, we are tooting our own horn, and we are explaining why our business is, well… brilliant.

We would NEVER suggest this blog post for one of our clients.

Hence, the irony.

And the reason why this is our… Worst. Blog. Post. Ever.

And what the hell — let’s wrap up with one more mistake. Here’s the link to the Entrepreneur article that’s all about us: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/275911
