Make every second count in your brand podcast, from “Welcome” to “See You Next Time.”
First impressions mean a lot in podcasting, its those first 5 minutes that a listener decides if they are going to stick around. A powerful intro grabs attention and sets the stage. And while you may assume everyone skips an outro, it can leave listeners with clarity, an extra feeling of connection, and a reason to come back. We help you get both your podcast intro and outro right.
A Few Brands We’ve Worked With

Why Intros and Outros Matter (A Lot More Than You Think)
Let’s talk data for a second: up to 35% of listeners drop off in the first five minutes of an episode. That means if your intro is vague, rambling, or off-brand, you’re already losing potential superfans before you’ve even started.
On the other hand, your outro: that’s your prime real estate for turning a casual listener into a loyal subscriber. It’s where you:
- Build audience trust
- Reinforce your brand identity
- Share next steps (subscribe, review, follow, visit, etc.)
- Say thank you—and actually mean it
In short: your intro says “Here’s why you should listen.”
Your outro says “Here’s why you’ll want to come back.”
We produce both to do exactly that.
What We Offer
At Pacific Content, our podcast intro and outro services bring together the right mix of storytelling, strategic thinking, and audio expertise to make sure your show starts strong and ends memorably. Whether you’re launching a new series or refreshing a long-running favorite, we work closely with you to craft intros and outros that feel seamless, intentional, and unmistakably you.
Every second of production is tailored to fit your brand and audience. We’ll help you strike the right tone, guide the listener’s experience, and create flexible versions that adapt to your format—because in podcasting, one-size-fits-all doesn’t cut it.
What Makes a Great Intro?
A great intro gets to the point—but never at the expense of personality. The best ones typically include:
- Show name and host intro
- Who it’s for (aka “Am I in the right place?”)
- What listeners will get out of it
- A consistent tone and musical identity
- Optional extras: guest teaser, sponsor mention, tagline, or a hooky cold open
And ideally, all of that… in under 60 seconds.
What Makes a Great Outro?
Think of your outro as the episode’s handshake. It should be confident, clear, and a little memorable. The strongest ones usually feature:
- A genuine thank-you to listeners (and guests, if applicable)
- A recap or reflection to reinforce the message
- A call-to-action (subscribe, follow, share, review, etc.)
- Teaser for next episode, if you’ve got one in the queue
- A clean, branded fade-out that feels intentional
Listeners who make it to the end are your most engaged fans. Don’t let them drift off.
